School Missions + Retreats
We conduct our programmes using a non-homiletic, participatory and engaging style, incorporating informative input with simple messages, skits and relevant testimonies by facilitators and volunteers.
We seek to understand and affirm all religions in school missions as we live our mission statement to ‘reach out to youth regardless of their religious background'.
The Redemptorist Mission Team (RMT) has served several Catholic schools, both Primary and Secondary, that have invited the team for missions for the various levels since the 1980's.
Before conducting a programme, we meet and speak to a cross section of students from the school to find out their needs and then plan the programme according to their concerns in the hope that this will benefit the students and be relevant to their lives.
Some topics that we frequently cover are:
Ideally, it would take two school days to conduct a school mission, and retreats are normally conducted over two to three days.
As there are limitations when addressing the individual needs of students in a large group, the ideal group size for a school mission would be 40-120 students per batch.
Ideally, the venue should be a conducive, air-conditioned room, not too large or small.

Need A Listening Ear?
As part of our ministry, we extend an invitation to youths who have gone through our missions to contact us if they want to discuss and share some of the struggles they are going through in life, or if they simply want to have a listening ear. We seek to create an environment of trust and support for those who come to us. We also keep the school informed should students come to us after a mission programme.
